Rest in peace James Bhemgee.

It is with great conscience that I heard of the unexpected passing of James Bhemgee. James was our guest artist during our last Danny Titus Memorial Lecture on 21 May 2022 where prof. Hein Willemse was our guest speaker.

James was a winner of SA got Talent and gained fame with his sparkle and pure tenor voice. He worked at the City as a street cleaner and garbage remover, where he happened to be “discovered” by someone listening to his spontaneous singing as he swept the street, before tackling his singing career and being successful.

My and DAK’s deepest condolences to his family and family. Rest in peace James and may you enrich the angel choir with your beautiful voice.
